Hi Hayley, thanks for posting! Not sure how many people follow the forum, so let's try to use it as a way of gauging outreach. For me, (1) current situation at my uni plan is the same as yours. On April 1st morning we had classes ready to go on the 4th, only to be cancelled until 7th May, with reduced classes, presumably making some up on the way and finishing in early August (test week). (2) There's been no discussion that I know of. I'm not on the Educational Affairs Committee, so they may have discussed but not had time to share yet. Anyway, apparently no discussion about our capacity or ability to do online classes. We can communicate with students through Line, email or through the school portal system. We have no learning system in place. I have Google sites for each of my classes, so if I need to go online I can use those and supplement them with video messages. We also have access to Google Classroom, though I'm not a big fan. Google sites, however, are really easy to set up and use. A bit limited in their functionality, but they'll do the job. (3) Interesting point. I guess this is the place to share our ideas. Materials? Maybe that's a section that we need to add to our website? Either way, this discussion is well-timed for us to put out a call and /or promote the forum in the next newsletter. Anyway, hope you're doing OK. Things are still pretty quiet in Hiroshima, imagine you're a few steps ahead of us in Yokohama!
