Simon Capper has been a professor at the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing since 2004, and has been living and teaching in Hiroshima since 1988. He is the author and co-author of several ELT course books including This is Japan (Macmillan), and two nursing English courses--Bedside Manner & Bedside Manner Beginner: An Introductory Course in Nursing English (Perceptia Press).
Simon is the Chair of his college's International Activities Committee and is actively involved in a number of overseas study programmes. He served for several years as President of Hiroshima JALT and is co-founder and current Coordinator of JANET. His main areas of interest are materials development, intercultural communication, and, of course, nursing English.
