Steve T. Fukuda loves to facilitate learning. He currently holds an associate professorship in the Faculty of Education at Bunkyo University in Saitama. In 2017, he was given a wonderful opportunity to facilitate learning for nursing students in a course a course titled Medical English at Kuki Nursing College in Saitama prefecture. He is glad to be back in the nursing classroom after teaching in Tokushima University where he was teaching nursing students in the Faculty of Medicine. This opportunity has given him a chance to give back to the nursing community after getting much help from them during his many stays at the hospital with his son battling a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. His classes consist of about 40 nursing students who are very communicative and love learning (maybe not homework so much though). His current research interests are in independent language learning and classroom instruction for young learners. He is also looking forward to networking and learning together with other JANET members.
